What’s it like at the University of Washington Boot Camps? Our programs are intensive and immersive—combining compelling lectures with solo and collaborative team exercises. Students get the chance to work alone outside of class and work in groups in the classroom.
Strategic homework assignments and project work will give you hands-on practice on the lessons learned, allowing you to expand and fine-tune your skills. We believe that applying your skills on projects is pivotal to mastering new material. In class, you’ll not only receive a dynamic learning experience, but you’ll also gain insight into a “day in the life” of a full-stack developer.
Depending on your background, this may be one of the harder educational ventures in your life. However, in my opinion, it is absolutely worth it. If you put in the time and effort, you will definitely come out of this program with the skills necessary to succeed in the marketplace.-Matt, 2017 Grad
It’s the digital age—so everything you need for our programs can be done via computer. This eliminates the need for extra expenses on books, and you’ll know that you are gaining applied knowledge by working directly in the systems you are learning. You’ll also simulate a professional work environment by solving real-world problems with your peers. Our programs are structured into three main groups:
Instructors lead class discussions and cover the history, background, and use of a new concept or technology.
You’ll put the curriculum into action, working individually and in teams to complete exercises and projects.
Your portfolio is the culmination of all of your hard work—showing employers that you have the skills for the job. You’ll create a strong portfolio of projects that proves your knowledge across a vast array of technologies.
