What you will learn

Students will develop knowledge of advanced trading algorithms and modeling strategies, while also advancing technical skills in Python programming, machine learning, blockchain, and cryptocurrency.
Students will gain access to multiple layers of support, including Instructors, dedicated Teaching Assistants, Student Success Managers, and a tutor network, allowing them to get the help they need to be successful.
Students will receive career-planning assistance, including:
- Resume and social media profile support, career content and practice sessions, behavioral interview training, one-on-one career coaching, soft skills training, and more.
- Access to a dedicated Career Materials Advisor and Career Director who will work with students throughout the program and prepare them to be employer competitive.

When does the program start?

Is there an application process? How do I get started?

UW FinTech Boot Camp has an application process and is not open enrollment. Once a prospective student fills out the form or calls our admissions department, they will go through an initial phone interview with an advisor. Applicants who are recommended to move forward will then take a critical thinking and problem-solving assessment.

Can I keep working while studying at UW FinTech Boot Camp?

Yes. The program was designed for working professionals who are seeking to advance their current careers or change paths.

How long is the course?

The program is part-time. Students can complete it in six months (24 weeks).

How much time do I need to commit to the course?

Each week, students will need to commit between 25-30 hours.

Do you provide career planning support?

Yes. We offer all of our students career support and coaching as well as resume support, interview preparation, and experiential learning opportunities.

Do I need to have previous experience in programming or finance before applying?

No programming or finance experience is required, however, it is recommended that applicants hold a Bachelor’s Degree or have at least two years of experience in business, management, finance, statistics, or a related field.
